I missed getting this post done yesterday, so I’m catching up today. The last Wednesday of every month Sheaffer and Shay host this link-up, and every once in a while I participate. This is one of those once-in-a-whiles!
What’s Up Wednesday is a post in which we tell a little bit about what’s going on in different areas of our life right now. So here we go!
What We’re Eating
For breakfast lately I’ve been eating Greek yogurt with fresh pineapple in it. I first had this several years ago when we vacationed in Aruba and loved it!
This has been my go-to lunch. Most of the time instead of the turkey roll-ups, I have a little bit of rotisserie chicken.
And for dinners, we most often are just eating a salad, but I did make beef ragout last night. That was a nice change!
What I’m Reminiscing About
Since our grandson was born last week, I’ve been doing a LOT of reminiscing about my own experiences with childbirth and the births of my granddaughters. All of the reminiscing reminds me once again of how quickly time goes by!
What I’m Loving
I am LOVING all of the pictures Danny and Erin are sharing with us of our new little guy! Here’s one for ya’:
Also loving that it’s SPRINGTIME! Give me all the blooming flowers, chirping birds, and lush green everything!
What I’m Watching/Reading
American Idol, the Masked Singer (which is really Big Eagle’s show, not mine, but I watch it with him), and surprisingly Farmer Wants a Wife. I’ve never watched any of the dating shows (Bachelor, etc.), but there was something about them being farmers that sucked me in. Ha! Also just finished Tiny Beautiful Things and are now watching the current season of Ted Lasso.
As for reading, I just finished A Girl Called Samson by Amy Harmon. It was one of the free Kindle Prime monthly freebies. I don’t always choose one, because the selections aren’t always that great, but this one sounded interesting. It was actually pretty good. Now I’ve started the book my book club picked for this month: The Maid’s Diary by Loreth Anne White. It’s almost the end of the month, so I’m going to have to read FAST! The beginning was pretty riveting, though, so maybe it will be one of those can’t-put-downers. 🤞
What I’m Listening To
Saw a post on Reddit not too long ago where someone asked what people thought the prettiest song was. One of the commenters suggested someone make a playlist of all the answers, and someone did! I’ve been listening to it every evening for a little bit.
Can’t say that I agree ALL the songs are pretty, but there ARE a lot of good ones on there.
What I’m Wearing
Ha! It alternates between work-out clothes and work-around-the-house clothes. Really not even worth mentioning!
What I’m Doing this Weekend
Not a whole lot out of the ordinary. But we ARE going to try a new-to-us Italian restaurant Saturday night, so that’ll be fun!
What Am I Looking Forward to Next Month
Definitely looking forward to weather that is more conducive to taking the kayak out!
That’s it! If you want to share what’s up with you, please comment below. I’d love to know!
Exciting April
Hopefully May will be nice and we can get the kayaks out and go paddeling
Yep…hope so! 😘
When are you going to meet Leo???
Not for a few months still. Thank goodness for video chat!
Great picture of Danny and that beautiful baby. He’s really into him. So cute !!
We eating yogurt too. We doing fruit , but not pineapple but will try that. We using blueberries or strawberries than honey and granola. !! But my girlfriend told me to try yogurt yasso popsicle. All kind of flavors. They are pretty good !! Check them out !!
Sure miss you garden text !! And pictures.
I wrote down the two books. Keeping the names for fall. No time now to read.
Enjoyed the post !!
Thanks, Karen! It makes me happy when someone lets me know they enjoy one of my posts. Those popsicles sound interesting. I’ll have to look them up. There will be garden pictures in my April Favorites post that’s coming up in a couple of days. Probably more than anybody wants to see! 🤪
