Let me start by saying that I can bake a mean cookie. I’ve been baking cookies forever! I baked them ALL – THE – TIME when my kids were little. Mostly snickerdoodles, but also peanut butter, chocolate chip, sandies, etc. I’ve used the same sugar cookie recipe for our Christmas cookies for almost 40 years. So, yeah … I’m great at baking cookies. However, when it comes to decorating them? Well, let’s just look at this day last week as an example. Read more

Fall 2019 Bucket List Update!
I’ve read in a couple of places lately people commenting that the days are long, but the years are short. I totally disagree! The days are not long. ALL increments of time are just going by way too fast! That being said, we are already one month into our fall season, so it’s time to see where I’m at as far as accomplishing my autumn bucket list goals. Read more

September 2019 Favorites!
It was a super September this year, but it’s over now, so it’s time to post my favorites from the month! I only have 6 in the list this month, and none of them are purchased products. Fall 2019 Bucket List
Keeping true to form, I’m here about a week late with my final report on my Summer Bucket List and the reveal of my Fall Bucket List. I’m going to blame these sweltering temperatures we’re still having here in the D/FW area. How is one to focus on Fall when it still feels like the middle of Summer? One focuses by putting her head down and plowing through it. So let’s start by summarizing how I did with my last bucket list. Read more
Solo Road Trip!
Earlier this week I returned home from a 7-day solo road trip. It was my mom’s wish that our sister Judy have all of her photos, news clippings, family history, and correspondence she’d saved over her 103 years in this world. All of that in addition to other items that needed to go to Judy was contained in enough boxes to fill the back of my Rav4. Plus I had to put two more boxes in the back seat because they wouldn’t fit in the way back. So taking these things to my sister was the main purpose of this mid-west trip. Read more
Date Night: Cooking Class!
My favorite kitchen store is Sur la Table. A few times when I’ve been in there shopping, a cooking class has been taking place back in the kitchen. I’ve always thought they looked like so much fun. Finally last month I signed Big Eagle and myself up for one. We attended last Saturday night. I let him pick the one he thought he would enjoy the most. He picked Date Night: New York Steakhouse.
