Let’s Look at My Bedside Table!

This guy is like, “Yeah, I’m ready…let’s look!” 🤣

Last year I participated in one of Erika and Shay‘s “Let’s Look” link-ups, and it was fun!  If you missed it, you can check it out here.  One of my blogging goals this year is to participate regularly in this monthly link-up.  It’s held every second Wednesday of the month, and it let’s everyone take a little peek into different parts of each other’s lives.  So it fits perfectly with the theme of “allthelittlebits”.  The year is kicking off with a look at our bedside tables, so let’s look! December 2019 Favorites!

Happy New Year, Everyone!  I hope your holidays were everything you wanted them to be!  We enjoyed them here.  Once my daughter Cara and her family arrived, I pretty much went on a computer hiatus.  Now it’s time to get back into the blogosphere, and I’m starting by looking back on December.  There were many great memories made, but I managed to pick out my favorites.  As usual, many of them aren’t things, but are people I love having in my life. Fall Bucket List 2019 – Final Update!

Tomorrow is the official first day of winter, so tonight it’s time to do the final update on my fall bucket list.  Seems strange, because once Thanksgiving is done and the focus shifts to Christmas, it always seems like it’s already winter to me.  But no!  Winter does not start until tomorrow.  And then it’s 3 L-O-N-G months until my favorite season.  So is there anything else I was able to check off my bucket list for the fall? Memory Lane Monday – Dec. 16, 2019

It’s the third Monday of the month, so that means it’s time for a Memory Lane Monday post.  I was a little surprised when I realized that this MLM falls on what would have been my mother’s 104th birthday.  So I’m honoring Mom by sharing a picture from each year that she celebrated her birthday while living here in Texas with Big Eagle and me.  Actually some years warranted more than just one picture.  With a bit of a heavy heart, yet thankful for the celebrations we had, come join me as I head down memory lane. November 2019 Favorites!

Another month has ended, and the last month of the year is upon us!  October was such a fun month that I didn’t really envision November being able to rival it.  But as the month unfolded, blessings appeared and good memories were made!  This month I’m highlighting 10 favorites. Read more

I was a little confused last week when I saw fellow bloggers posting their final updates on their fall bucket lists.  I didn’t realize when I began it, that it was to last for only two months, as opposed to the usual three.  Now I see why some were beginning a Christmas bucket list.  But since I made my list with the idea in mind that I had 3 months to complete it, I’ve decided that that’s my story, and I’m sticking to it! 😜  So I’m continuing down my own path here with this Update #2, and I will post my final update on Friday, December 20th. Memory Lane Monday – Nov. 18, 2019

I’ve been posting my Memory Lane Monday on the first Monday of each month.  Well, that is not working out as well as I would like with my schedule.  So starting today, I’m switching MLM to the third Monday of each month.  If you want to find out what memory is on my mind today, c’mon and head down memory lane with me. Sausage Minestrone Soup!

Today I am so excited to participate for the first time in a blog hop!  Leslie from Once upon a time & happily ever after is hosting this link-up, and she invited me to join.  Thanks, Leslie!  And let me tell you…she couldn’t have chosen a better date for a soup-chili-stew recipe swap because here in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, as in most of the country, we just experienced an arctic blast.  Here it took us from 63 degrees at the start of the day to 32 degrees by the end of the day! Read more

Memory Lane Monday – November 4, 2019

Yes, it’s another Memory Lane Monday, but written one day late on Tuesday, because I didn’t get it done yesterday.  But what I DID get done yesterday was putting away all Halloween-related decor and putting out the little bit of Thanksgiving decor I have.  And from that action sprang a memory and a few musings.
