I’m linking up with Erika and Shay today for their monthly “Let’s Look” series. Obviously, we’re looking inside our purses. When it comes to purses, I’m not one to spend a lot of money. I also don’t change out my purse very often. For that reason, I usually go for a neutral color. It’s not unusual for me to employ the same purse for years at a time. You got that right…YEARS.
My current bag is this black one, which I’ve been carrying for two years now.
Before I actually reveal the contents to you, better take a look around and make sure there are no spies about. I wouldn’t want to divulge the secrets inside here to just anybody!
Just kidding! Ha! There’s nothing juicy inside this bag to show you…not even Juicy Fruit gum.
This bag has a tassel decoration. Most of the time I have it flipped to the inside of the bag, but I have the option of displaying it if I want.
One of the things I really like about this purse is that the main compartment is actually an insert! So I can lift the whole thing out and place it inside another bag if I want. This bag is also reversible. You can turn it inside out. If you do, it is mostly the cognac color with a band of black around the top. I’ve never carried it that way.

Oooooooo! Aaaahhhhhhh! Ha ha ha! As you can see, there is one centered pocket on the right, two pockets on the left, and then the main compartment.
In the main area of the insert I have (from L to R and T to B)

2 checkbooks
my wallet
my credit card case
my old-fashioned address book
a notepad
my cheaters (readers), which I don’t use a whole lot since I updated my contacts
a travel-size Kleenex
mints
a mirror
In the larger pocket centered on the one side, I keep…
a token for a free taco at Bar Taco 😋
deodorant wipes & stain wipes
a very small pocket knife
dental floss
my Kohl’s rewards card that broke off of my keychain
a thumb drive
Band-Aids
And lastly, in the small pocket on the opposite side of the insert, I have my key fob w/house key, my favorite pen, and my lip balm. The other pocket on this side is reserved for my cell phone.
There you have it! All the deep dark secrets contained within my purse. The only thing it always needs more of is cold hard cash. 😜
