It’s the first Let’s Look post of 2021, and it’s a fun one! We’re checking out each other’s coffee bars this month! A big thank you to Erika and Shay for hosting this link up again this year!
A few years ago, when we remodeled our kitchen/dining area, there was one wall in our dining spot that was taken up by upper and lower built-ins. We had these removed, and it left the perfect space for a coffee bar.
The main thing I like about the coffee bar trend is that it frees up room on the kitchen counters.
I’m happy with the amount of stuff that occupies my countertops right now and don’t really want any more on there.
Now here is our coffee bar!
We ordered an unfinished table and had it finished in black and fitted with brushed nickel knobs.
Our brewer is your typical standard type. We also have a pot just for heating water for other hot drinks.
In the basket between the two is the coffee, sugar, spoons, spoon rest, and some knit coasters in the back right corner that were gifted to me by my sister Judy.
I love pottery, and picked up the heart-shaped spoon rest when Big Eagle and I were at a festival in Oregon a few years ago.
The lamp was my mom’s. I found it wrapped up on the top shelf of her bedroom closet after she had passed away. I don’t know the history of it, but I really love it!
It looks like she may have had it refurbished. I’m not crazy about the shade and am looking to replace it. The square marble base also doesn’t seem right to me, so I may look for a different base at some point, too. But I love the silver, the glass, and the blue spheres!
In one drawer I keep tea bags, spiced cider envelopes, and hot chocolate mix. I stick with regular sugar myself, but I keep Truvia on hand for those who want to have their sweet, but stay sugar-free.
In the other drawer is an adapter for extra plug-ins, filters, and the coffee pot manual. There are also some random light sets. 😜
That’s our coffee bar! Now if COVID would just exit the stage, I could have you over for a cuppa!
