Yes! It’s true! This coming Sunday, February 7, Allthelittlebits is turning 2! So I invite you to join me in this post to help me celebrate with a little how-to and a little giveaway!
The how-to part will explain how to subscribe to my blog and make comments in an effort to increase active participation. But let’s start with the giveaway!
I saw this prayer journal on Shay’s blog when she shared her top 10 Amazon posts of 2020. I thought it might be something I would like.
Like I usually do before I order something, I checked the reviews. The overwhelming majority of the reviews were great, but I did read several where the complaint was about pages falling out. So when I ordered mine, I opted for the spiral-bound version to avoid that problem.
Here’s the spiral-bound journal I received:
At the front of the journal, the author gives her suggestions for how to use the various sections, which is very helpful. Yet, in the end, it’s MY journal, so I’m really just free to use it however it best suits ME. Which I love!
Each week begins with a scripture and a reflection page.
And that is followed by this weekly format, which includes a second Bible verse, this one based on a theme of prayer:
I love that nothing is dated. You write in your own date. So since I’m starting to use it a month into the year, it’s no big deal. It will still work! 😁
There is also a section at the very back to log answered prayers.
And here’s the fun news! I ordered not just one…not two…but three! Because to celebrate Allthelittlebits being 2, I am hosting a drawing to give TWO of you one of these beautiful prayer journals!
Entering the drawing is simple!
All you have to do is…
(1) Subscribe to my blog
(2) Leave a comment on this post below.
How to Subscribe
Subscribing is easy…you just enter your email address in the area above “Subscribe” in the sidebar on the right of this page. Or if you’re on your phone, you scroll to the bottom of the page. Once you get an email to confirm your subscription, do that, and you’re good to go.
How to Comment
If you’ve already subscribed, then all you have to do is leave a comment at the bottom of this post. During the two years I’ve had this blog, I have had a few readers tell me they had trouble leaving a comment. So I’m going to break it down for you right here!
At the bottom of the post in the discussion area, you see this:
If someone has already left a comment, the box that says “Start the discussion” will say “Join the discussion” instead.
Click on that box, and type your comment. Then if you already have a Disqus account or would like to comment using Facebook, Twitter, or Google, click on one of those icons, and follow the instructions there.
If you don’t yet have a Disqus account and would like to use that method (which is the discussion service I use), then go below to the area that says “OR SIGN UP WITH DISQUS”. There you can input your information, sign up for a Disqus account, and then comment away!
The third option would be to comment as a guest. If you would like to do this, still go down to the “sign up with Disqus” area and input only your name and email, as pictured below. NO password.
Next, click on the box in front of “I’d rather post as guest”.
The password box should disappear, and you should now click the box in front of “I’m not a robot”. A grid of pictures will be presented with instructions above it. There are different ones. The one that popped up for me asked me to click on all the pictures in the grid that showed bridges. At first I only clicked on two, because I wasn’t sure if there were more. Then it prompted me to click on ALL the bridges, so I clicked on one more that I thought might be a bridge, and I was good to go. Here are the pictures it showed me:
Once you have finished selecting the pictures requested by the directions, click verify, and then you should get a green check mark, as shown in the next screenshot:
Now just click on the white arrow in the gray box, and your comment will be submitted. You will get a message like this, telling you that once your comment is accepted by the moderator, it will be made public.
That’s all there is to it! I really think the easiest option is to create a Disqus account, but I know everyone has their own preference.
I hope this makes it easier for everyone to be able to comment and enter the drawing if they want to. You must subscribe and comment by 6 a.m. central time Sunday, February 7th. Since that day is the blog’s anniversary date, that is the day that the random drawing will take place. If you are selected, I will email you to let you know, and at that time I will need your mailing address, so I can send you your prize!
Good luck! I hope you win!
